Now you can even eat designer.

Just in case you were wondering, Gucci’s flavour is pomegranate, LV’s is watermelon, YSL’s is caramel. Judging by its colour, I’m guessing Chanel’s is grape. Grins.

et tu, brute?

Rocha is one of the few models who has spoken out against the prevalence of eating disorders in the modeling industry. She has acknowledged the pressure she faced as a fledgling model and recalls becoming obsessed with food after a trip to Singapore where she gained ten pounds.

Even Coco Rocha couldn’t resist. ;p

on second thought.

I changed my mind.
If I could look like anyone in the world, I’d pick Du Juan. Or Coco Rocha. OMGlovely.

Music is the only language you cannot lie in.

And I love that.

i love my garden.

As much as I would like to complain about the current state of things sometimes, I must admit that I’m a very lucky girl.

Learning fam law kinda makes me realise that. When you read cases like MP v MQ with these bastard husbands who conceal their wealth and make their wife and kids suffer, you kinda realize how very fortunate you are.

That was kinda reinforced by when I came back and saw my garden 70% complete. I am so HAPPY with how it’s turned out. My first landscaping project: Success! :)) With lots of help from Daddy. I know I don’t give him enough credit for all the stuff he does around the house. And I should. Hehe. Shall post a picture of it once the Japanese stone lamps have been installed and the supporting wood taken off the bamboo. (i.e. in about 2-3 weeks’ time.)

Happiness is a lovely garden. Our next door neighbours gave it two thumbs up too. Heehee!
So did my dog, I think. He was very happy that he had so much new turf to pee on. :p marking territory, wot?

And after exams, I’ll get started on the living room. Whee! It’s so nice to see your designs come to life. Maybe I should have gone and taken up interior designing instead. Or not. Hahahaha!

This week has been a FUCKING BAD WEEK.

It would be nice if my head just exploded and I wouldn’t have to worry about ANYTHING ANYMORE.

rain, rain, go away.

Media law is draining the life out of me.
The feeling of panic sets in the moment I wake up.

I think I might have picked the wrong question; I HATE having to analyse cases!!! Maybe I should have done the third question instead. The readings may be slightly more but at least they’re mostly articles. Debunking an author is so much more interesting than poring through cases line by line. I’ll be doing enough of that in practice, thank you; I want to do other things in the last years of academia!!

But anyway it’s too late to change. The good thing is that I should be able to dash through the remaining cases by tonight and start writing tomorrow. I think?

I want these hellweeks to GO AWAY.

yay me.

Finally submitted my HRA assignment. I’m not even sure if I made sense, but I’m hoping I did. :p

Today was a nice end to Hellweek Part 1. I still have a caffeine+stress headache, but I’m feeling relaxed.
Dinner, shopping and catching up with Mr Back-For-A-Month makes Rachel a happy girl. :)) It’s nice to know that despite the distance, we’re still best friends through and through.

Of course, Rachel would be a happier girl if Hellweeks Part 2, 3, 4 and 5 would also magically vanish. :p

My schedule as it stands now:
Hellweek Part 2: 1 week for Media Law’s 100%, 6000 words w footnotes + HRA presentation (which is ungraded, URGH as if I don’t have enough to worry about already!!!)
Hellweek Part 3: 3 weeks for DR, 8000 words w/o footnotes
Hellweek Part 4: 1 1/2 weeks for HRA’s 70%, word count unknown. I’m guessing 6000 w footnotes. :(
Hellweek Part 5: Chiong family law in study break!!!!

I have never been so short of time. :( Where did all of it go?

P.S. Note to self: NEVER take on 4 research papers in a semester ever again!!!!

oscar the garbage man.

or not.

because i am taking a break from HRA, here’s a rundown of oscar’s hits and misses.

Evan Rachel Wood was stunning in Elie Saab, has my vote for Best Dressed:

These others also rocked it:

Orchid and strappy gunmetal silver = win.

Ruched, understated fishtail gown: also win!

I barely even noticed James Franco, his date’s dress was so gorgeous. The dress would probably have been more outstanding in white.

It’s hard to dress well when you’re a big girl, but Queen Latifah proves to all us large ladies that we can still work it!

oscars-marion-cotillardUsually shiny and gauzy couple to make one look like a circus, but Marion Cotillard pulled it off beautifully.

Unfortunately, with the good comes the bad…

These Disney stars spared neither fish nor fowl for their dresses:

Fashion Faux Pas:

fail-jolieHello Morticia.

fail-mary-hartMaking dresses from curtains was cute in Enchanted but really doesn’t have the same charm on the red carpet.

fail-penelope-cruz1‘Scuse me miss, are you lost? The altar’s that way.

fail-jessica-bielTwo words. Fabric diarrhoea.

Human rights is going nowhere.
I can’t wait for our trip to the lands of sushi, bulgogi and onsen.

And, here’s a treat for my fellow sufferers under this heinous regime of endless assignments, incomprehensible readings and impossible exams. (Yes when I’m bored I go looking for pretty people to look at. Obviously my need to look at pretty people cannot be satisfied by looking in the mirror.)

For the ladies:

shirota yuu 1

If I had anything to say about it, I’d want to look like this:

Minus the blond hair. :D
